Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a detail-oriented patient access and benefits verification professional. The role involves reviewing schedules, verifying eligibility, and ensuring accurate authorizations to prevent denials.

You will schedule patients, register them for services, and clearly explain financial responsibilities and payment options to families. The position requires familiarity with EMR/EPM systems, good communication, and teamwork with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Technical school or post-secondary education preferred.
• 1+ years computer and EPM/EMR experience preferred.
• ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding experience preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively reviews schedules and verifies patient eligibility and benefits to avoid denials.
• Verifies authorizations and pre-certifications and documents attempts to obtain missing information.
• Schedules patients, registers for services, and explains patient financial responsibilities and payment options.
• Collaborates with clinical teams and physician offices to ensure timely submission of required documents.
