Job summary

Tanner-Health-1 is seeking a patient intake coordinator to facilitate the quality and efficient patient intake process across multiple facility locations. You will handle pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, precertification, and documentation, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate data capture.

This role requires excellent communication, a professional demeanor, basic medical terminology familiarity, and computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong public relations and communication skills; maintain professional demeanor with patients and staff.
• Prior customer service experience preferred; familiarity with ICD-9/CPT-4 coding preferred.
• Team player with ability to follow procedures and work in a high-volume environment.
• Proficient with computers; read/write clearly.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates pre-registration, registration, insurance, precertification verification, document completion.
• POS collections and work output review for accuracy.
• Work across multiple locations within the facility or system to support PAS operations.
• Interact with call center, patients, families, and third-party payers.
