Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta seeks a Patient Access Registrar to support registration, scheduling, and billing activities across multiple locations. You will communicate with patients, families, physicians, and insurers to obtain and verify demographic and financial information and ensure accurate form completion.

The role requires at least 1 year of healthcare or related clerical experience, with a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.

Formación

• 1 year of experience in healthcare or related clerical, accounting, or customer service roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education may be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and insurance companies to obtain information and insurance verification.
• Interviews patients to obtain demographic and financial information and ensures forms are completed per regulatory requirements.
• Enters data into registration, billing, and tracking systems to minimize patient wait times.
• Verifies insurance coverage and/or validates authorizations where applicable.
• Schedules patient appointments and coordinates referrals with physician offices.
• Assists with front office duties, including chart creation, filing, and basic billing tasks.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and responds to inquiries from patients and families.
