Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) seeks a Patient Access Representative for an on-site role. You will support registration, scheduling, and pre-registration activities to ensure accurate information and smooth access to care, while protecting patient confidentiality.

The role involves handling co-payments and insurance verification, advising on financial clearance, and collaborating in a fast-paced, team-based environment with comprehensive EHR training.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience in patient access or similar role.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and basic MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients for visits and explains the registration process.
• Processes co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due; safeguard cash and receipts.
• Completes Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire; verifies/adjusts coverage.
• Obtains signatures on forms; manages documents and scans records.
• Counsels patients on non-covered services and ABNs.
• Maintains a neat, secure registration desk and protects patient confidentiality.
• Initiates and manages scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
