Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• English communication clear and courteous.
• Spanish fluency strongly preferred.
• Basic MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families in person or by phone with respect and empathy.
• Obtains demographics, payer, financial, medical information, and ID to register patients.
• Obtains necessary authorizations and collects payments when required.
• Verifies payer information via web or phone.
• Documents activities in the hospital system and notes.
• Directs families to correct location in the facility.
• Notifies management of insurance or financial discrepancies.
