Nicklaus Children's Hospital in the Fort Lauderdale area seeks a Registrar Patient Access for Miramar Outpatient Ctr. on a per diem daytime schedule.

You will greet patients, collect demographics, payer and insurance details, and schedule or pre-register visits while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Responsibilities include collecting payments, verifying payer info, obtaining authorizations, and documenting activities in the hospital system.

Formación

• 1 year of customer service experience.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Fluent in English; Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greets patients and families in person or on the telephone in a respectful and empathetic manner.
• Interviews patients to obtain demographic, payer, financial/medical information and ID.
• Collects payments and provides receipts.
• Verifies third party payer information via the web or phone.
• Obtains necessary authorizations for hospital services.
• Documents activities in the patient system and ensures confidentiality.
