Qualifications

• Intermediate math skills acquired through classroom work or work experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge patients and family in a welcoming and prompt manner.
• Identify insurance coverage, benefits, and patient out-of-pocket expenses; collect co-insurance and co-pays.
• Use electronic systems to confirm coverage and discuss findings with the patient; resolve in-network status issues per policy.
• Pre-registers and registers patients using established procedures for computer entry across units.
• Notify Financial Counseling, physicians, Care Coordinators, and Utilization Management when cases involve uninsured patients or complex coverage.
