Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Part-time Patient Access Registrar to support a smooth, timely registration/admission process. Under the direction of Front Line leadership, you will register patients in the EMR, collect demographic and financial data, greet customers, and guide them through the process with professionalism.

The role requires a high school diploma and about one year of customer service or health care experience; knowledge of basic Windows/Office and EMR systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year experience in a customer service role or health care industry.
• Preferred familiarity with Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in EMR with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Greet customers promptly with a warm reception.
• Collect and document required demographic and financial information.
• Direct patients to appropriate setting and explain delays.
• Maintain professionalism and diplomacy per policy.
• Estimate and collect copays, deductibles, and other financial obligations.
