Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficient data-entry skills with attention to detail.
• Customer service skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work in a high-volume, team-oriented environment.
• English speaking, reading and writing skills required.
• Preferred: Associate degree or healthcare-related certificate.

Responsibilities

• Accurately obtain and enter demographic, insurance and related patient information into the scheduling system.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations as required.
• Schedule radiology, lab and other ancillary appointments; manage ED/OB demographics.
• Collect patient liabilities (deductibles, copays, coinsurance) as appropriate.
• Maintain records, files and related information; assist with billing work queues.
