Job summary

Virtua Medical Group in Mount Holly, NJ is seeking a part-time Registrar for the 2nd shift to gather and enter patient demographic information in our hospital information system.

Responsibilities include verifying benefits, obtaining authorizations, collecting co-pays and deposits, and ensuring accurate registration while providing excellent customer service. Epic system experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service in a professional setting preferred.
• Medical office or admittance experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks.
• Basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system.
• Verifies benefits, obtains required authorization.
• Obtains co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and deposit amounts.
• Performs accurate and thorough registrations.
• Acts as first contact representative of Virtua by providing excellent customer service.
• Obtains signatures on required documents for consent and regulatory documentation.
• Identifies and collects payments and coordinates with insurance when needed.
