Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a medical office, patient access, scheduling, or referral role.
• Strong computer skills and ability to navigate electronic medical records (EMR).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage referral work queues in EMR accurately and timely.
• Coordinate and schedule referral appointments with internal and external providers.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information; ensure HIPAA compliance in all interactions.
• Schedule in-clinic appointments according to provider templates and patient needs.
• Assist with rescheduling, cancellations, and wait-list management.
