Job summary

HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Front Desk Associate (PRN) to welcome patients at our Community Hospital. The role requires strong communication, organization, and patient-service skills.

You will handle registrations, insurance verification, and payments while maintaining HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced environment. This PRN position offers weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage with shifts across day, evening, and night hours. Prior ER or patient registrar experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Has strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficient computer skills and basic office software knowledge.
• Experience with insurance terminology and patient registration preferred.
• Background clearance and clean background check required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk.
• Register patients using EMR and verify demographics and insurance.
• Explain benefits and handle payments including copays and deductibles.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and route inquiries.
