Job summary

Intuitive Health in Melissa, TX is seeking a Patient Access Advocate for a full-time midshift (12PM–8PM) to greet patients, register them, verify insurance, collect payments, and support front desk operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will coordinate with clinical staff, maintain HIPAA compliance, answer phones, and help keep the waiting area organized while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn new technology and systems.
• Experience with patient registration or billing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Register new patients and accurately update demographic, insurance, and billing information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and collect copays, deductibles, and payments.
• Facilitate patient flow by notifying clinical staff of arrivals, delays, and changes.
• Answer phones using proper etiquette; route calls and take messages as needed.
• Maintain waiting areas, front desk, and reception spaces in a clean, organized condition.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform clerical tasks including copying, scanning, faxing, and filing.
• Attend staff meetings and required training sessions; maintain knowledge of role responsibilities.
