Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Patient Access Services Representative for the Admitting-Hosp department. You’ll greet patients, verify insurance, process registration, and collect liability while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and comfort with multi-system technology. Training will be provided; on-site schedule includes 6am-6pm shifts and occasional holidays.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or with a team.
• Experience with insurance verification and payments processing preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Verify and update patient demographics in the EHR accurately to maximize reimbursement.
• Provide service across inpatient, observation, ED, obstetrics, surgery, imaging as needed.
• Understand insurance benefits and verify coverage for services.
• Communicate clearly with patients to explain financial responsibilities and options.
• Submit payer notifications per guidelines to minimize denials.
• Collect required insurance information and CMS-compliant forms.
• Discuss and arrange payment plans or Banner Financial Assistance as needed.
• Provide patient services including transport, training, and deposits handling.
• Work under supervision in a high-volume hospital setting and prioritize care.
