Tufts Medicine seeks a Patient Access professional at Lowell General Hospital - Saints Campus. The role focuses on revenue cycle tasks such as billing, collections, and payment processing, and performs pre-service and registration duties to ensure services are scheduled and patient liability is collected.

You will verify insurance, collect demographics, and assist with referrals while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in customer service setting, hospital registration, medical office, insurance, etc.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts Pre-Registration tasks for specified inpatients and outpatients prior to their date of service, including collecting demographic, financial, and clinical information for financial clearance and insurance verification.
• Verifies insurance coverage and eligibility, and attaches verification to the patient account.
• Collects information for auto and workers' compensation registrations and documents reasons if incomplete.
• Notifies patients of financial liabilities and assists with time-of-service collections.
• Posts payments and ensures accuracy of posted amounts in accordance with guidelines.
• Provides Financial Counselor contact information to patients qualifying for state financial assistance and documents financial state in the system.
• Obtains necessary authorizations, pre-certifications, referrals, and notifications and documents them.
