Munson Healthcare is seeking a Patient Access Representative in Traverse City for the Day shift. This full-time role involves greeting patients, registering information, and guiding patients through testing and surgical areas with a courteous, welcoming approach.

The position emphasizes handling confidential data and collaborating with staff across departments. Two years of customer service or healthcare experience and an associate degree or equivalent education are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years formal education or equivalent experience.
• Two (2) years' work experience in customer service, healthcare or business-related field.

Responsabilités

• Greet and direct patients and families to testing and surgical areas in a courteous and welcoming manner.
• Register patients by obtaining and verifying required information in the registration system.
• Greet patients and provide information to promote understanding of procedures and hospital environment; exchanges all information in a friendly, kind manner.
• Handle confidential medical information with discretion; keep offices and work area orderly.
• Access department communications daily via telephone voice mail and/or e-mail and implement immediate changes as requested.
• Act as a preceptor for new hires, providing all levels of education required for that position.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the PAS leadership team.
