Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH seeks a Patient Access and Scheduling Supervisor to oversee registration for two programs and align with departments on related processes. You will initiate steps to resolve departmental, interdepartmental, and payer issues affecting registration.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in business or related field, 3+ years of leadership experience, and strong communication and customer service skills. Proficiency with EPIC and billing systems is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of leadership or management experience required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and third-party payer policies.
• Proficiency with EPIC, Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise staff assigned to the work unit.
• Assist manager with hiring, termination, and counseling of staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and complete appraisals.
• Provide timely feedback regarding staff concerns.
• Enforce department policies and procedures.
• Guide the department to meet goals and standards.
• Schedule and conduct monthly team meetings.
• Ensure time and attendance for department each pay period.
• Maintain appropriate staffing across all areas.
• Interact with patients, families, vendors, and hospital staff.
• Liaise with billing needs across departments.
