Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of leadership or management experience required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and third-party payer policies.
• Proficiency with EPIC, Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff assigned to the work unit.
• Assist manager with hiring, termination, and counseling of staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and complete appraisals.
• Provide timely feedback regarding staff concerns.
• Enforce department policies and procedures.
• Guide the department to meet goals and standards.
• Schedule and conduct monthly team meetings.
• Ensure time and attendance for department each pay period.
• Maintain appropriate staffing across all areas.
• Interact with patients, families, vendors, and hospital staff.
• Liaise with billing needs across departments.
