Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency with 1 year of full-time experience in patient registration, scheduling, or insurance verification.
• Alternatively: completion of a Roswell Park Patient Access Representative traineeship at Roswell Park.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key point of contact for patients, families, referring providers, and internal care teams.
• Coordinate the intake and registration process for new and returning patients.
• Gather and review patient information to support appointment scheduling and care coordination.
• Schedule clinic visits, consultations, diagnostic testing, and other services as needed.
• Communicate with referring physicians and healthcare providers to obtain necessary information and records.
• Help patients navigate the appointment process and answer questions about next steps.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Assist with hospital admissions and other access-related activities.
• Verify insurance information and support financial clearance processes.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely documentation of patient information.
