Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Six months' customer service experience desired.
• Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Take incoming calls to schedule and reschedule patient appointments.
• Greet patients and verify demographics during registration.
• Collect co-payments, pre-payments, and payments on account balances.
• Operate multi-line phone and manage clinic scheduling with nursing team and providers.
• Coordinate referrals and pre-authorizations; arrange interpreter services as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain patient information accuracy.
