Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a Navigation Coordinator within the Patient Navigation & Business Services department to be the first point of contact and help patients access care by collecting demographic and insurance data and medical reports.

You will register patients in Care Connect and Salesforce, schedule appointments, and coordinate pre-arrival and first-day arrangements for patients worldwide seeking care at UCLA Health.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare environment with a diverse patient population.
• Experience using Epic/CareConnect and MS Office (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel).
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with diverse groups.
• Diplomacy, discretion, tact and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact and facilitate access to care for patients.
• Register patients in Care Connect and Salesforce, schedule appointments, and upload records to Epic via ICAP.
• Coordinate pre-arrival and first day arrangements for patients and visitors from around the world.
• Support Case Managers and Patient Coordinators; arrange interpreters and transportation as needed; schedule referrals.
• Check and triage department emails and phone calls; assist in reviewing medical reports and physician opinions.
