Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a Navigation Coordinator to facilitate access to care for patients, serving as the first point of contact and calculating demographics, insurance, and medical reports as needed. • Experience in a healthcare environment with diverse patient populations.
• Experience with Epic/CareConnect and MS Office (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with ability to interact across cultures and roles.
• Diplomacy, discretion, tact, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in Care Connect and Salesforce and schedule appointments.
• Process inquiries, convert inquiries to patients, and obtain demographic/insurance information.
• Coordinate pre-arrival and first-day arrangements for patients and visitors.
• Assist Case Managers and Patient Coordinators with scheduling and interpreters as needed.
• Check and triage department emails and phone calls; review medical reports and assist in treatment plan discussions.
