Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Part-Time Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Waukesha, WI. The role focuses on patient reception, scheduling, insurance verification, and payment processing across hospital and medical group departments.

You will join a team dedicated to exceptional service, accuracy, and timely patient experiences. Four weeks of paid training accompany a flexible schedule and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months of customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work 28 hours per week on a fixed schedule as listed.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Greets visitors and patients in person, or via telephone or video, delivering excellent customer service.
• Enter and update patient demographics and financial information to ensure full registration early in the process.
• Obtain applications and forms with signatures on file; photocopy/scan documents as needed.
• Provide patients with financial responsibility information and collect liabilities, balancing cash daily.
• Coordinate with Financial Counseling, Scheduling, Financial Clearance, and clinical areas to complete patient encounters.
• Provide wayfinding and hospital information as requested.
• Coordinate admission needs, bed assignments, and tracking boards as applicable.
• Meet or exceed audit accuracy standards and address issues from worklists.
• May perform other duties on request.
