Job summary

Sharon Hospital is seeking a full-time Patient Access professional to streamline patient flow from scheduling through check-in. You will gather demographic and financial information to ensure proper identification and payment sources, verify insurance, and provide service estimates.

Working hours may include weekends and evenings. You will document in EMRs, schedule services, obtain authorizations, and support compliance with HIPAA and patient rights.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required with 2 years related experience.
• Associate degree with 6 months related experience preferred.
• NAHAM certification within 1 year desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check them in per scheduling and location.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain payor information.
• Schedule appointments and manage EMR records.
• Collect patient payments and explain balances.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient rights.
