Job summary

The Valley Hospital is seeking an Access Navigator to act as the main point of contact in a busy call center, guiding patients and families through scheduling and referrals. You will coordinate with providers and specialists to ensure smooth access to services and continuity of care, handling inquiries with empathy and professionalism.

Experience in healthcare, strong communication, and the ability to navigate complex systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required or 1 year in VMG office or 3 years in Valley scheduling.
• Healthcare experience with medical terminology and managed care preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact in a high-volume call center for patients, referring physicians, caregivers and the community.
• Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals and facilitating access to services.
• Act as liaison between referring providers, patients and specialists to support continuity of care.
• Address inquiries with professionalism, empathy and efficiency.
• Convert calls into scheduled appointments and increase service utilization.
