Job summary

Valley Health System (New Jersey) is seeking an Access Navigator to serve as the primary contact in a high-volume call center, coordinating appointments, referrals, and ensuring smooth access to services within VMG and The Valley Hospital.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a VMG specialty office or Valley scheduling, plus health care familiarity, medical terminology, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• In lieu of a degree a minimum of 1 year as a BA in a VMG specialty office or a minimum of 3 years in a Valley scheduling position.
• Health care experience including medical terminology and managed care, call center experience and 2-3 years of customer service strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact in a high-volume call center environment.
• Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and facilitating access to services within VMG and The Valley Hospital.
• Address inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Convert calls into scheduled appointments and service utilization.
• Act as a liaison between referring providers, patients, and specialists to support continuity of care.
