Job summary

You will maintain patient files, ensure HIPAA compliance, answer calls, and support front-desk operations with a friendly, professional demeanor. Requires HS diploma, 1 year in healthcare or 6 months customer service, 50 wpm typing, and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of healthcare experience or 6 months healthcare customer service preferred.
• Typing speed minimum 50 wpm.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and update demographics in the electronic health record.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect copayments, coinsurance and deductibles.
• Perform visits closure activities including payments and follow-ups.
• Greet patients in person and on the phone with a courteous, professional demeanor.
• Answer and screen calls and direct to the appropriate staff.
• Maintain patient files and assist with clerical duties as needed.
