Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to support inpatient and outpatient access, pre-registration, and insurance verification. You will interact with patients to collect information, determine eligibility, and help with financial clearance under supervision.

The role requires strong customer service, basic medical terminology knowledge, and experience with EPIC systems. A comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow within the health system are provided.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge and EPIC system familiarity.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and visitors in person or by phone with courtesy and respect.
• Perform insurance verification, pre-certification, and scheduling tasks.
• Verify patient identity and eligibility; assist with financial clearance.
• Coordinate bed planning, registration, and pre-registration activities.
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to policies and guidelines.
• Assist patients in understanding financial responsibilities and resources.
