Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Patient Access Liaison to support patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and sites of care in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement for Amgen therapies. The PAL will educate on payer requirements, prior authorization, and available patient support resources while addressing barriers to access.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or equivalent in a health-related field or experience in patient services/access and reimbursement.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in patient services/access and reimbursement.
• High-level knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource on patient access and reimbursement for infused and specialty therapies.
• Educate patients and providers on coverage considerations and prior authorization steps.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, Case Management, and Site of Care teams to support patient access initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve access challenges, including denied claims and billing questions.
