Job summary

Danbury Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Patient Access specialist to facilitate a seamless registration and scheduling flow for patients. You will verify demographics, insurance eligibility, and collect patient liability while guiding patients through the process.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, maintaining EMPI accuracy, and communicating service estimates. Weekend and evening shifts may be required as part of a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required, 2+ years related experience
• Associate degree with 6 months related experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year related experience preferred
• Basic MS Word and MS Excel; strong customer service and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and directing at check-in.
• Verify information and assist with scheduling and registration.
• Perform insurance eligibility verification and collect patient liability.
• Provide service estimates; communicate with patients about payments.
• Ensure accuracy of patient identification in the EMR system.
