Job summary

Mercyhealth in Illinois seeks an experienced Revenue Cycle Leader to oversee patient access, scheduling, registration, and billing workflows. You will supervise a team of partners, manage staffing, and optimize performance with audits and dashboards.

Responsibilities include hiring, training, and coaching; ensuring compliance with CMS and payer requirements; driving timely reimbursements and process improvements across departments within Mercyhealth’s integrated health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Associates degree in a business or healthcare field required (or an equivalent of experience, certification and years of service).
• Four years of patient access, revenue cycle or other healthcare experience required, with emphasis in access services, POS collections, registration, scheduling, insurance verifications/authorization, billing, or customer service preferred
• Two years of prior leadership related experience required.

Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of all applications used in Patient Access and Revenue Cycle operations (e.g. EPIC, RTE, Scheduling, etc.).
• Implements staffing patterns to meet budgeted staffing levels and maintains staffing efficiency.
• Reviews and processes timecards in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintains accurate employee attendance files and conducts staff development opportunities.
• Interviews and hires applicants to maintain adequate staffing levels and provides orientation and training to new hires.
