Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Four years of experience in patient access services (registration, scheduling, insurance verification) or related roles.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to work with patients, physicians and staff.
  • Proficiency with hospital information systems and standard office software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the patient access team and coordinate daily department operations.
  • Provide guidance on staff scheduling and assignments; mentor team members.
  • Conduct quality assurance audits and report on data as needed.
  • Serve as liaison between management, staff, physicians, insurance providers and others.
  • Support after-hours on-call coverage as needed.
