Job summary

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is seeking a Patient Access Lead to manage patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification across multiple sites. You will ensure accurate billing, collect payments, and improve the patient experience while coordinating with clinical teams and departments.

The role requires strong clerical and front office experience in healthcare, proficiency with EPIC and related systems, and a willingness to travel between campuses as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years clerical experience with medical terminology and basic computer skills.
• 3+ years medical front office experience, preferably in an acute healthcare system.
• High keyboarding speed for data input.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• 1 year supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register and schedule patients.
• Verify insurance and collect payments.
• Enhance patient experience and communicate with internal departments.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve issues independently.
• Audit hospital accounts for insurance accuracy and quality.
• Support multiple sites and travel as needed.
• Assist with employee scheduling and call outs.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
