Job summary

Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. Prior outpatient/admissions customer service experience is required, with preference for Jefferson Seamless Access

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an associate degree in healthcare or business administration is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience in a front-facing role for Outpatient/Admissions.
• Current Jefferson Seamless Access Representatives with at least 1 year of experience meet the requirement.

Responsibilities

• Interact with co-workers, visitors and staff per Jefferson values.
• Gather accurate demographic information to identify patients and assign medical record numbers.
• Request photo IDs and insurance cards, and scan copies.
• Enter orders and confirm medical necessity for outpatient visits.
• Interview patients to complete the Medicare Secondary Payer questionnaire for all Medicare patients.
• Verify coverage and benefits using Real Time Eligibility, Phreesia, or payer websites.
• Ensure compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements; meet performance metrics.
