LCMC Health in New Orleans is seeking a Patient Access Lead to guide and support a busy Patient Access team. You will oversee registration, scheduling, and financial processes, resolving account issues and ensuring accurate information for patients and families.

In this role, you will train new staff, troubleshoot registration challenges, and help drive process improvements in a fast-paced healthcare setting, ensuring compassionate service and smooth operations across the patient journey.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of customer service or healthcare experience.
• Experience with patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, or related healthcare processes.
• Confidence navigating computer systems and resolving account issues.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilités

• Welcome patients and families and provide exceptional customer service.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, registration, admissions, and check-in processes.
• Verify demographics, insurance information, and documentation for accuracy.
• Assist patients in understanding financial responsibilities and insurance eligibility.
• Support point-of-service collections and maintain financial records.
• Serve as a go-to resource for Patient Access processes and day-to-day questions.
• Onboard and train new team members and support peer development.
• Troubleshoot registration errors, work queues, and escalated concerns.
• Coordinate staff assignments to keep operations running smoothly.
• Collaborate with supervisors to identify process improvements.
