Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a Patient Access Lead to support daily operations, registrations, and a positive patient experience. You will act as a go-to resource for Patient Access Representatives, coordinating staffing and driving process improvements to enhance workflow.

The role emphasizes leading and mentoring the team, ensuring accurate data entry, HIPAA compliance, and seamless patient experiences across sites within the region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3+ years in Patient Access or healthcare setting required.
• Experience with Epic or similar EHR systems preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily staffing and scheduling for the Patient Access team.
• Support leadership with data tracking, reporting and process improvements.
• Welcome, assist and guide patients and families through registration and check-in.
• Collect and verify accurate patient demographics and insurance information; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with onboarding/training of new team members and maintain training materials.
