• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance/payor types.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with registration/scheduling training and development.
• Perform scheduling, registration processes and verify insurance coverage; document in patient records system.
• Receive physician orders, coordinate case times, and ensure physician privileges status before scheduling.
• Explain financial policies and provide information on resources and arrangements; assist with Good Faith estimates.
• Act as liaison between patient, PFS department and payor to improve receivables and service quality.
• Meet productivity standards and maintain accurate activity trackers; audit demographic and financial files.
