Job summary

Foundation Health Partners in Fairbanks, AK seeks a Registration/Scheduling Supervisor to oversee registration, scheduling and prior authorization operations. You will lead staff, ensure accuracy, optimize workflows, and maintain strong patient and provider service.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, performance management, reporting, and coordinating with departments to improve access and cash flow. A Associate's degree and healthcare office experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in business, hospital management, or related field.
• 3+ years of medical office experience, including registration and prior authorizations.
• Experience with healthcare insurance billing and staff supervision in a clinic setting.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to make independent decisions and manage workflows under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise registration, central scheduling, pre-registration and prior authorization staff.
• Recruit, train, and manage staff; monitor budgets and staffing levels.
• Measure performance, generate reports, and optimize scheduling workflows.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and third parties to resolve issues and improve service.
• Support cash flow through effective patient account management.
