Memorial Hermann Health System in Texas seeks an experienced team leader in Patient Access. You will mentor staff, schedule patient appointments, verify eligibility and medical necessity, and post payments.

The role requires strong communication with physicians, care teams, insurers and patients to ensure compliant, efficient patient access operations. Responsibilities include managing daily processes, ensuring accurate data entry, collecting payments, and providing exceptional customer service

Competenze

• Three years of experience in a hospital or medical business office setting.
• Ability to multitask across multiple systems and processes.
• Proficient typing and keyboarding skills.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Schedules patient appointments and enters information in the system accurately.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information from patients/guarantors.
• Explains required forms and collects necessary signatures.
• Ensures medical necessity compliance by collecting data and obtaining signatures.
• Handles patient liability and payment arrangements; conducts complex financial counseling.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits; coordinates authorizations.
• Posts payments and generates patient receipts; monitors account issues.
• Provides training and mentorship; acts as a team lead in daily operations.
• Communicates professionally with physicians, management, staff, insurers, and families.
