Job summary

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a hospital or medical business office setting.
• Proficient typing/keyboarding skills.
• Supervisory and/or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters information accurately.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information from patient or guarantor.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits; ensures required notifications and authorizations.
• Posts payments in the computer system and generates receipts.
• Performs account analysis and resolves patient account issues; assists in financial counseling.
