Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters information in the computer system with accuracy.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits; ensures notifications and authorizations are completed.
• Posts payments in the system and generates patient receipts.
• Completes complex financial counseling including review/submission of charity applications.
• Identifies alternative resources for financial reimbursement.
• Monitors and resolves patient account issues; conducts trend analysis.
• Leads daily department processes, trains staff and provides guidance to colleagues.
• Communicates professionally with physicians, care management, staff, insurance companies, patients and families.
