Job summary

West Cancer Center & Research Institute is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our clinic operations. You will enter patient demographics and insurance details, keep coverage information current, and support daily patient flow and communications with physicians and staff.

This role requires strong communication, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to manage copays and insurance changes while maintaining patient confidentiality and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 6 months of related experience in insurance verification in a medical environment.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly, and handle patients and physicians professionally.

Responsibilities

• Enter new patient demographic and insurance information into the computer system.
• Update patient information as insurance changes occur and collect copays.
• Handle patient or physician concerns with discretion and forward to Site Manager.
• Interface with staff at all levels and assist during clinic operations.
• Admit patients to hospital if necessary and pre-certify visits.
