Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first face and voice for patients. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, and assist with billing inquiries to ensure accurate scheduling and a smooth patient experience.

In this role, you will greet patients, confirm registrations, and manage payments while maintaining HIPAA compliance. You’ll handle high call volumes, update records in eCW, and support a welcoming, efficient lobby environment daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service with a positive patient experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with a smile in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Obtain and confirm patient demographics and update profiles.
• Collect payment and assist with billing questions while meeting time-of-service goals.
• Scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR system (HIPAA compliance).
• Set up payment plans for patients unable to pay balances per policy.
• Answer a high volume of calls and emails promptly.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments and verify insurance information.
• Ensure patients are checked out in the EMR at day end and the lobby is kept tidy.
