Job summary

West Coast Joint and Spine Center is hiring a Patient Access Rep to manage patient intake at a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. You will register patients, verify benefits, collect co-pays, and ensure timely, accurate data entry for all encounters.

Responsibilities include pre-registering patients, coordinating with physicians and schedulers, and maintaining compliant cash handling while upholding exceptional customer service and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate; college preferred.
• Accurate data entry of patient and insurance information.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to collect co-payments and verify benefits.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and obtain signatures on required forms.
• Verify benefits for unregistered patients and collect co-payments.
• Pre-register patients in advance and manage patient demographics.
• Communicate with physicians and scheduling staff to obtain orders.
• Maintain strict cash handling and documentation of payments.
