Job summary

You will verify insurance, assist with pre-authorization, schedule appointments, manage supplies, and uphold patient safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; College degree preferred.
• 2 years of customer service and/or clerical experience; healthcare exposure preferred.
• Language and math skills typical for clerical work and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Complete insurance verification and upfront collections before service.
• Obtain pre-authorization for scheduled and pre-registered accounts.
• Perform pre-registration by phone or form as required.
• Schedule new and follow-up patient appointments and reschedule as needed.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order as needed.
• Verify key ADT information for patient safety, charging, coding, and billing.
• Complete forms in accordance with procedure and ensure proper filing.
• Meet department targets for wait times and upfront collections.
• Provide excellent customer service with a professional demeanor.
• Precept new coworkers as assigned.
