Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient registration information including demographics and insurance details to ensure accurate billing and scheduling.
• Handle insurance verification, pre-registration, registration, and authorization processes in accordance with EMTLA guidelines.
• Process POS collections, accept payments, reconcile cash drawer, and maintain daily financial reports to meet upfront collection targets.
• Accurately populate and update patient records in the hospital billing system (EPIC).
• Communicate with patients and families, tailoring information to age, culture, and language needs.
• Participate in departmental QA and ensure regulatory documents are completed and properly filed.
• Resolve registration-related issues and escalate when necessary.
• Follow all policies and procedures and assist leadership with other duties as assigned.
