Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, handling greetings, demographics, insurance details, and scheduling with a focus on a smooth patient experience.

The role requires handling billing questions, updating EMR records in eCW, and maintaining HIPAA compliance while delivering warm, professional service in a busy practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Professional, warm demeanor and effective communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Experience in medical office/OBGYN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Collect demographics and update patient profiles.
• Assist with billing questions and payment collection at time of service.
• Scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR system.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments; verify insurance eligibility.
• Answer high volume calls and respond to emails promptly.
• Ensure lobby is tidy and patients are informed of delays.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy.
