Job summary

Women's Care in the United States seeks a Patient Access Representative to be the first face and voice of the practice. You will greet patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and ensure accurate scheduling and billing encounters.

The role emphasizes a warm, patient-centric service approach and HIPAA compliance. Responsibilities include handling high call volumes, assisting with online registration, setting up payment plans, updating EMR data in eCW, and ensuring smooth daily operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a true desire to help others.
• Strong organizational skills and a customer-centric focus.
• Warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Deadline-driven, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
• Proficient with computers and able to learn electronic medical record systems.
• Ability to greet patients, collect demographics, and update profiles accurately.
• Ability to answer a high volume of calls and emails promptly.

Responsibilities

• Greet all patients and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Obtain and confirm patient demographics and update patient profile.
• Collect payment and assist with billing while meeting at-time-of-service goals.
• Scan insurance cards, IDs, and other information into the EMR.
• Set up payment plans per policy.
• Respond to patient questions about financial policies.
• Answer a high volume of calls and patient emails.
• Confirm appointments for the next business day.
• Monitor lobby and update patients on provider delays.
• Assist patients with online registration or forms.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient registration prior to visits.
• Check out appointments and keep front area tidy.
• Demonstrate Women’s Care values and HIPAA compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
