Community Health Network is seeking an Associate Patient Access Representative for the Fishers, IN area. This role serves as the first contact for visitors, managing patient registration, scheduling and financial clearance to ensure smooth visits.

You will verify insurance, assist with payments and ensure accurate entry of patient data while upholding HIPAA and CMS standards. This is a day-shift position based at the Fishers campus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years healthcare office experience and/or strong customer service background preferred.
• Proficient in registrations (inpatient, outpatient, and emergency admits).
• Completes Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers in a timely manner when applicable.
• Ability to monitor and perform patient hospital and/or ambulatory movements.
• Utilizes EPIC work queue to pre-register scheduled patients.
• Verifies medical necessity per CMS standards and communicates coverage to the patient.
• Accurately identifies and enters patient demographics, insurance and financial information.
• Gathers and verifies confidential health and financial information from patients while using computer software to assure payment for services.
• Confirms the completeness of the electronic health record (EHR) and makes necessary changes.
