Job summary

AdventHealth – Florida is seeking a Patient Access Associate in Wauchula to support patient intake, gather demographics, verify insurance, and collect payments. Ideal candidates have healthcare customer service experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum customer service experience; healthcare background preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting and adapt to change.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue ABNs when needed.
• Create accurate estimates of patient financial responsibility and collect payments.
• Coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorization needs and provide logistical details to patients.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations within set timeframes.
• Register patients for all services and maintain accurate medical records.
