• Experience in customer service or healthcare support settings.
• Ability to follow complex instructions with attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA privacy rules and ability to handle confidential information.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for patient interactions.

Aufgaben

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue notices when needed.
• Discuss patient financial responsibility and collect payments or set up plans.
• Coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorization and logistics information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations within timeframes.
• Register patients for services accurately and minimize duplicate records.
• Collect demographic and insurance information and ensure data accuracy.
• Provide coverage for assigned work areas and arrange relief as needed.
• Communicate with clinical, ancillary, and consumer access departments to enhance patient experience.
• Document patient and payer conversations, including decisions and arrangements.
• Attend department meetings and promote collaborative dialogue.
• Assist PBX coverage, answer calls and transfer as needed.
• Perform cashiering functions such as collections and cash reconciliation.
• Other duties as assigned.
